The Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (
PHECC) is the independent statutory body with responsibility for standards in education and training in the field of pre-hospital emergency care in Ireland.

Following a recent
TC submission, CFT has received PHECC Recognition as a Training Institution for the delivery of courses at Cardiac First Responder and Cardiac First Responder Instructor level.

The
CFR course will become the standard within CFT for basic life support training and will form a substantial component of the new DER course, to be rolled out in early 2010. In the meantime, a number of instructors will shortly be nominated regionally to an initial instructor training session, with a view to delivering courses locally.
