CFT New Improved Insurance Policy

CFT have secured a new ground breaking insurance policy for our members. We are now one of the best insured NGB’s in the world today. No other NGB has provided cover of this kind to its members. We are at the forefront in this field around the world. To try and help explain some of the huge benefits please find a brief FAQ below

Will this insurance cover me or a family member for repatriation in the event of a diving accident?
Yes (injured party and one other person)

Am I insured to use private recompression chambers?
Yes

What is covered under the new Personal Accident policy?
Medical and repatriation up to €1 million worldwide.

What is the professional indemnity policy for?
Claims against instructors for advice/instruction given resulting in financial loss to a third party for which they claim. It also covers club committees for their actions and decisions.

Are Club events like Christmas parties, family days out etc covered?
Yes

Is any of my gear covered in the event of loss or damage?
Unfortunately no, as every divers gear is different and cost different amounts it would be very difficult to cost effectively insure every members gear.

Are CFT members covered abroad - on club-organised trips/non-club organised trips?
Yes cover for liability is on a worldwide basis and cover for medical is also on a worldwide basis.

What depths I’m covered to dive?
You are covered to dive to the depths you are qualified to, with the appropriate buddy.

Am I covered if I dive Trimix or Rebreathers?
Yes once you are qualified in its use and are registered with CFT and a Trimix/Rebreather diver.
