CFT have a wide range of diving and snorkelling courses to offer.
From the basic introductory grade right through to advanced Instructor we have it all!.

| Trainee Diver ( CMAS*) |
Cost €20 |
Aim: To provide the beginner with the technical information and practical skills
required for scuba diving.
This is the first of our diving grades.
It comprises of a series of lectures, pool and open water snorkel and scuba training. The course is
designed so that theoretical knowledge, pool snorkel/scuba activities run concurrently, along with open
water snorkel training. Open water scuba activities will commence following all other instruction.
Instruction takes place within a club which allows the candidate gain experience and knowledge within the support of the club environment.

| Club Diver (CMAS**) |
Cost €50 |
Aim: This is an experience based grade which ensures the candidate is proficient in the safe use of scuba
equipment for open water diving with a buddy.
This course consists of a series of lectures as well as building a log of dives in varying conditions. It is an experienced based grade with and exam following the completeion of your dive log.
Once awarded this grade allows the diver to dive with buddies of the same
grade or higher and may lead such dives to a maximum depth of 30 metres. |

| Leading Diver ( |
Cost €150 |
Aim: This is the highest non instructor diving grade in CFT. Successful candidates can lead and manage dives within their club.
This course consists a series of lectures, practicals and exams. Candidates are assessed throughout the course and over a weekend of diving activities. |

| Moniteur One (Instructor) |
Cost €120 |
Aim: This is the first level of our instructor grades. The course aims to demonstrate and teach the necessary skills to become a world class instructor
Our instructors are the backbone of the organisation. They are extremely higly trained and among the best SCUBA instructors in the world. |

| Moniteur Two (Examiner) |
Cost €60 |
Aim: This course is designed to provide a basic introduction for CFT examiners to the principles of
assessment and the way in which the CFT exam system operates.
This grade enables successful candidates to become examiners on all CFT examinations.

| Moniteur Three ( Leading Instructor) |
Cost €250 |
Aim: This grade represents the highest level of teaching and technical competence as well as the highest
diving grade.
It is awarded following examination and empowers its holder to act as Jury President on
C.F.T. tests, to prepare and carry out diving courses and tests under the direction of the N.D.O. and
Technical Commission, be elected or nominated to the Technical Commission, and to hold the position
of President of the Technical Commission (N.D.O.). |

| Rescue Diver |
Cost €80 |
Aim: Successful rescue diver candidates will be proficient in
the theory and practice of diver rescue, including deep rescue, self rescue, in-water resuscitation, rescue
management and basic first aid. |

|
| Diver First Responder |
|
Aim: To equip the candidate with the skill to provide first aid treatment to an injured diver.
The course is designed to educate C.F.T. members to recognise dive related injuries and to provide
emergency first aid to injured divers.
This course is recognised by Pre Hospital Emergency Council PHECC |
|
|
|
| Nitrox Diver |
|
Aim: To equip the candidate with the knowledge and practical skill to use Nitrox safely |
|
|
|
| Diver Coxwain |
|
Aim: the successful candidate will be proficient in the proper use of motor boats and ancillary equipment, with particular emphasis on the use of such boats by divers. |
